I'm back!

I spent Thursday and Friday with my sister and her kids in Chicago. My nephew Kyle is in a drug trial at Rush University Medical Center and he had to go back for a checkup. We left around one in the afternoon. Kyle was quite excited and kept chattering the whole way. He was pretty humorous and in good spirits. My sister told him we'd go to Hard Rock Cafe for supper. He kept talking about there being lots of people there and drinking beer. We got there in the early evening and went straight to Hard Rock. If you look closely, you can see that Kyle is squeezing Kelly's head. lol. The food was good, and it was fun. After supper, we went to The Rainforest Cafe Store, which was right next to Hard Rock Cafe. The last time they went to Chicago, the at at Rainforest, and Danielle got a monkey. When they got home, Kyle was sad that he hadn't gotten one, too. So he got one on this trip. Here is a pic from Rainforest: After that, we checked in to the hotel. Kyle had a little upset over Kelly not packing his pajama shirt. Never mind the fact that he doesn't wear a shirt to bed. He just wanted it. He even called his dad to see if he'd bring it for him. Finally we convinced him to wear a different tee shirt with it. The next day, we used the GPS and found that there was a Dunkin' Donuts nearby. So we walked there. It was in the Metro station and not really a restaurant. We got some donuts to go, and headed to the Sbarro pizza next door. They were serving breakfast. Kyle got some sausage patties since he is not a fan of donuts. and the kids also got some french toast. After breakfast, we walked back to the hotel and took some pictures along the way: We went back and hung out at the room for a couple hours until it was time for our appointment. Kyle entertained himself by watching a bowling tournament on television. We got to the appointment and Kyle chatted it up with Crystal the research assistant while Kelly filled out forms. He got his "air pressure" taken, as he put it, and they had to take his temperature twice, since the thermometer didn't work the first time. Kyle was not really happy about that one. > When Dr. Berry-Kravis came in, he plied her with questions. He asked her what her husband's name was, what her dog's name was, et cetera. She said, "Kyle, I believe we talked about this last time, and I told you that I don't have a dog." lol. After the appointment, we headed out of town. Kyle had a huge fit in the car because we were in stopped traffic and he wanted to eat lunch. Finally we got out of there and made it to a McDonalds. On the way home, Kyle and Danielle sang Cher (blech!) songs, their favorite being "Jesse James"
