Eskimos don't mind snow, right?

Well, we must be turning into Eskimos, because we didn't let some snow stop us from going to Piqua last night. Our taxes were ready to be picked up, so that was a good excuse to go. We actually were craving our favorite Mexican restaurant, El Sombrero. And it was Kids Eat Free night. It had been snowing all afternoon, but it wasn't sticking on the road until about five o'clock. So, we thought we'd give it a try. The roads weren't as good as we thought they'd be, but we kept going. Our tax man thought we were crazy.

Onto El Sombrero. There weren't many people in the restaurant (surprise, surprise!) Drew insisted on sitting with his daddy, so Blake and I sat together. Drew picked grilled cheese and Blake wanted chicken strips. They brought out chips and salsa, our favorite. Blake had his own little bowl of salsa and pretty much devoured it. Drew just wanted the chips. Both boys actually wanted to color on their menus. And Drew did an impressive job. I guess when it's his idea, it's ok.

When our meals came, they both wanted the the other kid's meal. So we split their food and they had a little of both meals. They behaved great and we had a good time. The drive home was worse than the drive there.

Drew's main concern was that we'd get home in time for him to lay on the couch with Daddy. Eric gets the sofa and Drew lays on the love seat and they watch television together. Drew said, "Blakey has to go to bed for me, right?" which meant he didn't want his brother encroaching on his Daddy time. We did get home in time for them to have a few minutes of television.

We are on a two-hour delay today for both boys. Hopefully it stays that way! We'll see.

Punkin has to have his own bowl of salsa, too. Nobody wants to share with the tripple-dipper!
