The lake!

Last week one night, Eric and I took the boys to the lake. We were going to go fishing, but changed our minds at the last minute. We went to Earl's Island and to the pavillion. I had never been there before. Eric made fun of me because it's been there for like, four years or something. Hey, I am not much of an outdoorswoman. Anyway, I thought it was really great. Blake had to wear his "sunglasses"--a pair of safety glasses Eric has to wear when he goes into the manufacturing plant at his place of work. Blake loves to wear them.

First we walked toward the playground by the beach, but there was standing water due to the rain we'd had the day before. We decided to go to a different area. This is the view from the pavillion:Pretty, eh?
They had a binoculars thingy that the kids liked to look through.
We asked Blake what he saw, and first he said he saw "trouble" and then he said he saw Santa.It was so relaxing, I am sure we'll go back.
