Drew turned seven on Saturday. He was excited about it. Aunts and uncles and grandparents and cousins came. And lots of presents. Among other things, my parents brought him an easel which was a chalkboard on one side and a dry-erase board on the other. He loves this. Eric is a little nervous about the dry-erase markers staining things, so we put those up until he wants to play with them.
When everyone got there, the crowd totaled seventeen people. In our tiny living room. Drew did pretty well, considering the fact that we wanted him to sit in the middle of the group and be the center of attention, all the while expecting him to open presents. He opened a couple, then retreated to his bedroom. Since it was so nice out, we moved the party to the back yard, where there was more space. Drew was able to open more presents out there, and seemed a bit more comfortable.
By the time we had cake, Drew was done. His uncle Tony picked him up and brought him to the table, since he decided to do the lead butt thing. As soon as the singing was over, he dashed to his room and removed his clothes. Ahh, relief. All in all, he did great, and had a fun time. I'll post pics of all his new stuff in a separate post.

WHO live in a pineapple under the sea? I love the cake! You are so talented! Punkin would do the same thing at his party. He left during his 2-year one to go sit in the lazy boy in our bedroom. I don't blame him one bit.
Yeah, I didn't blame him. I feel bad that he can't enjoy the whole thing, but on the bright side, at least he knows when he needs a break, and comes back out when he can.
