Time for T-Ball

Blake started T-Ball last night. He was super-excited about it. Before we left, he went out in the front yard with his ball, bat and glove and practiced. When cars came past, he gave them the thumbs up and yelled, "Baseball!" The high school boys baseball team actually went past in a bus and several boys waved to him. We decided to walk to the ball park.

When we got there, Blake hid behind me for awhile. Drew wanted to go onto the field with the kindergartners. I kept trying to get him behind the fence, but eventually gave up and told him to stay back from the balls and bats.
Blake followed Eric onto the field. The boys were divided into groups to practice different things. One group did catching grounders, one did batting from the T and some practiced running the bases. Blake waited his turn patiently with the other kids. Blake got some help with batting from one of the coaches.Drew entertained himself. They finished up about 8:50 and we headed home. In the rain. Next time we might drive.
